Kundalini Sakthi

“Looking for your light,

I went out:

It was like the sudden dawn

     of a million million suns,

 A ganglion of lightnings

     for my wonder.

O Lord of Caves,

     if you are light,

     there can be no metaphor"- Allama Prabhu

"In the dense darkness, O Mother, Thy formless beauty sparkles;

Therefore the yogi's meditate in a dark mountain cave.

In the lap of boundless dark, on waves of light ascending upwards, peace flows serene and inexhaustible.

Taking the form of Void, in the robe of darkness wrapped,

Who art Thou, Mother, seated alone in the shrine of samadhi?

From the Lotus of Thy fear-scattering Feet flash Thy love's lightning;

Thy Spirit-Face shines forth with laughter terrible and loud!"

                            -Ramakrishna Paramahamsa

This painting depicts the Goddess as Mother Kundalini, rising above to be the completeness of a yogi. It is a visualization of the fire within that is awakened by the yogi during the pre-dawn hours of the morning to enable the cold bath in sub zero temperatures.

Kundalini Sakthi when awakened, She exudes in energy and moves upward through each subtle energy centers blossoming the inner and outer realities of the energy centers we experience as in human reality.

Mother Kundalini ascends with radiant showering of divine grace in transcendence and evolving transformation. Her hands of giving guide, nourish, protect and sustain the yogi. Her other hand above dissolves time, space and matter to enable the absorption of the five senses and the limitations of the body and mind as the grace of a deep meditation. Her head is supreme wisdom, set alight. It is the pure wisdom state that is one in union with the Divine.

She is pure cosmic energy experienced as the joy and bliss within us. In the physical, She is the psychic heat (tumo) awakened to enable the body to go beyond extreme conditions of heat and cold; hunger and sleep. She is the awakened wisdom.
